Robert Forman is a co-author of The Solicitor’s Handbook 2019, published on 30 September 2019 by The Law Society.
The book is a comprehensive and user-friendly guide to solicitors’ regulation. It covers the changes to the new SRA standards and regulations which come into force on 25 November 2019 in addition to recent statutory changes including GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and updated AML regulations introduced since the last edition of the Handbook. Key regulatory changes include: the SRA Principles 2019, The Code of Conduct for Solicitors, RELs and RFLs 2019, the Code of Conduct for Firms 2019, the new SRA Accounts Rules 2019, the authorisation rules on freelance solicitors and solicitors working from unregulated entities, including the new indemnity insurance provisions, as well as the new Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal rules.
Robert Forman co-authored the book along with Gregory Treverton-Jones QC, Nigel West and Susanna Heley.
